The world of Technical Analysis is quite expansive, and any market student can spend years researching, testing, and developing their own methods and determining which ones work best for them and their particular trading style.
At 3PC we fully encourage you to undertake this endeavor as the more time and study you commit, the more proficient you will become. We do warn you however, not to embark on some Holy quest to unravel a mystery that will bring you riches in the marketplace via Charts or other indicators.
This is a fool's errand.
At the end of the day, you are still at a table playing Poker or Craps. There is no way for you to predict if the next card will make you good on your straight draw, or if you will be left with a whole pile of nothing. The ability to steadily accumulate chips relies primarily on how you place your bets when trying to make that hand - And most importantly by knowing when you are beat, and folding to preserve your chips.
In the game of Futures Trading, unlike Poker, there never needs be a "All-In" moment - Just play steady, smart, tight Poker - This will ensure your seat at the table, and over time you will accumulate the chip stack you always dreamed about.
Technical Analysis is a Critical Component to the 3PC playbook and the Alchymist Platform. We have narrowed down the scope for your focus, but it is critical you not only familiarize yourself with these tools, but rather that they become second nature to you. You have to memorize your playbook in order to perform in the game.
Take the time to review this chapter and then accelerate your learning curve by using Alchymist and going back through history, studying how price has behaved. This practice and rehearsal will go a long way towards accelerating your learning curve.
